What Went Wrong With Chad's Corn?
1 Sep 241m 2s

Chad takes a look at his corn crop and determines what went wrong starting with the impact of not having enough water.

00:00 Hey y'all, this is Che Henderson from Extreme Ag and today's lesson is what we did wrong. And I don't know if it's a hundred percent 00:06 what we did wrong all the time. It's just a fact of we couldn't keep up. So this particular farm we're on, um, has six pivots, 00:14 one water source, and our water source here is made to go between rains, not supply all the water. 00:20 This is what happens. It don't matter. You can see the, the plant health here, you can see the greenness on 'em. 00:25 But look at the tip back we've got, and I can promise you it's not due to lack of nutrition. We, uh, why drop this thing twice? This is strip tilled. 00:33 But what we got here is if you don't have ample water, it don't matter how much nutrition you have, because it can't take it up, this is what was going on. 00:41 The plant kind of stopped. We couldn't get the nutrition to it. It formed a tip back here, just a hand. 00:47 We dealt by not having the rainfall we needed at the right time. So, you know, this is mother nature one Chad zero. 00:53 This is what happens. This's still gonna be good corn, but this is where it's at.
