So when we're testing equipment Xa, we're looking at everything from road safety, moving back and forth to user friendliness.
00:07
Things we like don't like about it. Um, you know, we something that you just gotta get out here on the farm and track
00:15
and that's what Demco is doing is they're providing equipment out here and they're wanting us to see what works and what don't work.
00:21
But, uh, we're moving down the road right now, which is something that we do the most of and um, it's pretty impressive on these tracks.
00:30
First time ever pulling a track machine. But, uh, kinda show you some things I like about it. This car's also, you can kind of see there in the corner
00:39
that it's got a fire suppression kit on it, which is 300, 300 gallon tank.
00:44
It's got a hydraulic pump on it runs off the power beyond on the tractor and it's got, uh, basically a fire nozzle end on it
00:52
for fire hose, but it's also good to wash the combines off with. And, um, just a huge safety feature
00:58
and hopefully the insurance company to give you a credit on your premium for that too because that is a big, big deal having that 300 gallons
01:05
of water to put a fire out right at the beginning. If you being in the fire service for 26 years now, I will tell you 300 gallons on initial knock down
01:15
as a boatload of water, but you can catch it before it spreads. Very, very effective. So we're moving down the road here.
01:23
This is the part that I'm liking about the tracks. If you notice I'm right on the center line. If you look in that mirror right there, you can just see
01:32
that track's riding right there. We look over here in this mirror, the track's riding right on the shoulder of the road.
01:38
It's uh, still on the white line. These are softy tracks that Demco uses to use. You might have noticed that the auger looks odd.
01:47
This is a right hand unload auger. It's a dual auger cart. It's a 1300 bushel cart that we're going to be trying.
01:55
We've never used a dual auger, we've never used tracks. We've had a thousand bushel cart but not a 1300 and mighty big unload system on it.
02:04
So, um, we're gonna see how this thing works out with a lot of roading that we do here in North Carolina.
02:10
And, um, tight turns, small fields and kind of rough terrain. Kind of neat right here.
02:19
Got just ajo stick right here, mounted on my command arm on my tractor to uh, operate the SP and all.
02:26
And then the scales are actually done with a iPad. I don't know how we'll like that. We do like it being an ISO bus
02:34
where it's on our command arm on our 10 fours. But, um, the iPad's pretty neat 'cause you can pick the Bluetooth signal up
02:41
and see it in the combine as well. So y'all stay tuned. We're going to post some corn in this thing hopefully here shortly.
02:48
And we're going to see if this thing will hold up to what our standard equipment is that we typically use.
